Bad day at work!
It is Friday. Yet, you are too tired to end the working week and to actually start the weekend...
It is Friday, and I am just thrilled to start the weekend when it just happens around 10 o'clock. Misunderstanding, wrong documentation prepared, the job cannot be finished today because of some additional regulations, and the deadline is...today! Then the manager comes over, the colleague can not help you, and in meanwile, you get a phone call that you have a private emergency.
I guess, we have all been in this position at least ONCE. Or as Jake from Two and a Half Men says: "been there, done that"!
And, how is it going to be your weekend afterward? Most of the people go for WASTED, but I think that we are all going to agree that we are doing it in a different way!
What is the point of being wasted? Bad decisions, bad ideas, creating the worst picture of yourself in front of others and most importantly in front of yourself. To be fully honest, what is the best outcome of you being wasted? Good sex that you can't ever remember? Fun that ended with you puking in your car and leaving it a mess? Headache that no pill can manage it?
The point is that many people after a "bad day at work" get wasted. Guess what, it is not a solution to your problem. It only worsens it!
From my personal experience, after a bad day at work, I come home immediately. Not bad company, not stopping at the nearest bar. I even try to avoid my family for the first two hours. I just come home and have a bath. A warm one if it is winter or a really cold shower if it is summer. Then I take a coffee break at the terrace and see what is new in the world. But don't read about deaths or fires in your town. Read about innovations, see the newest book published, some achievement of an NGO, or place to visit in the future. See things that can preoccupy you-I usually go with investments. Read about crypto, read about TESLA cars, read about anything. After all, having a bad day at work is NORMAL. It happens to all of us. You will see, after a shower, a coffee and the news you have read, you will be a completely new person. And after that you can go on a walk with your dog, you can go to the nearest beach or park for a walk or you can go to some exhibition in your town. Or you just have a movie at home, a sad one, and have a really good cry. Because tomorrow is a new day, a happy one, no hangovers, no misery and the bad day at work will be sooo behind you!
